We all love a bargain! right! well read on for more info...
http://www.swedishhousecrafts.co.uk/
This super cute shop has rekindled my love for online services, why? because the service here is second to none and bargains are to be bagged. SHC gives the buyer more purchasing power because she truly cares about our pockets.
The stores contains a new brand unknown to me Gummipan , but the dies are are of fab quality and a little different, a good thing from the norm right. who is not sick of seeing Tattered lace and her over hyped prices!
Go on take a look, you sure wont be disappointed with whats on offer...and I love a bargain more than anyone being on such a tight budget.
Now while the sun out I'm off for a bit of pm relaxing by the pond.

Back to Loving Tilda....
With all these super cute Tilda's on the market it is becoming increasingly difficult not to resist the odd purchase or two. this tilde reminds me of a dear friend who is constantly taking selfies and hence appropriate for her birthday card. Butterfly border, fence and camera all from china, cheapie dies but fab, flowers , cheesecloth, pearls from stash. Copics used for colouring. Frantage shabby pink and sculpture paste for dimension although not showing up on pic very well.
Papers are from Pion and crafters companion .

How adictive are the Tild abooks and pretty projects to make. I have just finished making not only a Tilda Goose for a dear friend but these cute birds, which sit perfectly on my curtain rail lol .
In time for easter I was asked by a neighbour to make a cute bag for a 1 year old and again the Tilda books came into play, I even added my own version of a bag charm in the shape of a carrot, a perfect match! Now Im finishing off my bunting , another project which I will explain later, and then off to make three angels from the christmas book all with matching hair Im told....wow these 7 year olds sure are bossy!

Stitching blind!!
Nope not a new stitch but exactly how bad my eyes have gotten over the past few months, so bad I decided enough was enough and booked my eye test yesterday. The outcome was not as bad as I intially thought, the distance is fine but close up work, ie computing and reading etc was pretty bad.
Why is it that when you reach a certain age lol it all seems to pile up in one huge heap ready to pounce one morning, oh the joys of getting older!!
Anyway what is everyone doing this miserable Sunday, yep the Uk has grey miserable clouds and the odd rain shower thrown in for good measure. We are just about to settle down for a cozy night in front of the telly with a dvd ready to go and nibbles on hand, relaxing finally after having to endure a plumber rip up my craft room to find the leak we awoke too this morning...aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Progress
Wow this college experience is taking a toll on my sewing as it is taking up so much time studying lol But over the weekend I did manage to grab a few minutes to myself to start the embroidery on the panels using lazy daisy stitch. Eventually I will add a few embroidered roses to the vines to add extra detail to tie in with the quilt theme. Quilting is where I will be taking my time as I would dearly love to do FHQ but need lots of practice first, not too keen on straightlines for this project but we will see how it goes!.

Rosebud Faire work in progress
Well it was about time I decided to tackle my first quilt so on spotting Rosebud Faire floral and Makower tonal fabrics when I visited my local QS I knew the time was right.. Is it not the prettiest fabric? and the colours are so warm !. The pattern I have chosen is Plaid and each block is roughly 10" square, my quilt will be of lap size and I have decided on 40 x 50" size, perfect for those cozy evenings watching telly.
(sorry about pic but there is bit of fluff on my block ...see it on the pale square middle).
